Mom: The Beautiful Blossom

by Greg Schuerman

This is a simple routine that I did on Mother's Day. The premise is that "Mom" is the most beautiful blossom of them all. I start out showing the bunch of flowers... including "Two-Lips", "Tiger Lilly" and "Eye-ris". I talk about how pretty these flowers are, but that they are only beautiful on the outside. I explain that Mom is beautiful for all of the things that she does for us. I then reveal the surprise in the middle of the bunch, urging the children to give their Mom a hug and thank her for something that you especially appreciate that she's done for them.

This is the bunch of flowers, concealing Mom in the middle. I used a balloon band to secure the stems upright. I make a center stalk with a handle on the bottom to hold "Mom". The band will slide down easily.
Here is the reveal. I slide down the band, and flowers pop out to the sides, revealing the most beautiful blossom!
